During the phase two or comprehensive treatment, teeth are aligned for maximum esthetics, function and stability with a combination of braces, specialized retainers, and/or expansion appliances as needed.
Missing teeth may be replaced during this stage, and teeth that are out of position, or fail to erupt, may be brought into the dental arch through forced eruption or removal. Metal braces (traditional braces) are the most commonly used type of braces for the orthodontic treatments during the comprehensive treatment. They can be noticeable; however, they are equally effective treatment as like clear braces! Metal braces may also be a good option to move the teeth, especially for the cases that require difficult tooth movement.
